Coming from an Asian household where it was common to stay out of the limelight and a sign of resilience when one is quiet in times of turmoil. Jieun bravely stepped out of her comfort zone to share her perspective on diversity and its importance in the world we live in.
Born in Seoul, South Korea, Jieun moved to France at the age of ten due to her Father's work. Having experienced life in three continents, diversity is something that she holds close to her heart.
One of the biggest resources for Jieun as a parent raising her Haitian-America/Korean child was the support of other parents. Participating in parent and child classes like Babies in Common helped her connect with many other similar-minded parents. She continues to seek out different ways to connect with others in making Grafton MA a welcoming town for people from all kinds of cultures.
